- It aims to equip students with a solid foundation in economics, politics and public administration with applied orientation. Specifically, it provides students with conceptual knowledge for in-depth analysis of various economic and public policies.
- It also aims to arouse students’ interest in studying economic and public problems and issues pertinent to governance, to familiarise them with the knowledge and skills of conducting research within the discipline, and to analyse public problems of the world and their society.

- International Baccalaureate: An overall minimum score of 24
- Grade C or above in at least 3 subjects in Sijil Tinggi Pelajaran Malaysia (STPM) in the same sitting, other than language subjects
- Grade C or above in at least 6 subjects at Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) Senior Middle Level
- Other equivalent overseas qualifications as determined by the University
- Completion of Year 1 study of a locally recognized Associate Degree or Higher Diploma
