You will be taught how to adopt reflective practice and lifelong learning that allows you to develop your intellectual skills and promote personal and professional development. You will learn about Codes of Professional Conduct to protect human rights and equality in the delivery of health care.

You are normally seconded by your employer to study for this pathway. You will focus on educational issues that are related to primary healthcare – study takes place in a community setting.
The (Hons) Specialist Community Nursing (General Practice Nursing) (Top Up) programme from University of Wolverhampton steers strongly towards public health and health promotion, and is designed to encourage the empowerment of patients/clients.
