The Real Estate major at Southern Methodist University combines the study of finance and real estate to develop special competency in structuring real estate transactions, real estate valuation techniques and an in-depth understanding of the capital markets.

Recent graduates have chosen careers in brokerage, capital markets, development, investment management, commercial lending and real estate valuation.

BBA Specialization

SMU Cox students who are declared business majors insubject areas beyond real estate may choose to adda specialization in real estate by completing thefour (4) core real estate courses.
