As a mining engineer you will be responsible for deposit evaluation, mine design, mine production, and environmental management, all underpinned by rapid technological advancement.

You’ll gain detailed knowledge of surface mining, underground mining, rock mechanics and mine design with exposure to geology, data science, Python coding, finance, and management.

By taking the Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) - Mining Engineering from The University of Western Australia, you’ll get the opportunity to take on a final year research project giving you extensive hands-on experience and the chance to develop and test new ideas. You’ll get practical experience in project report writing and presentation.
