Overview

UMCS offers an interdisciplinary BA studies in Business Analytics from Maria Curie-Sklodowska University at the Faculty of Economics. The course aims to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of business (eg Economics, Management, Marketing, Law, Finance, Accounting, e-business, Project Management), quantitative subjects (eg Calculus, Business Statistics, Econometrics) as well as analytical methods and tools (eg Data Mining, Big Data, Business Intelligence, Geographical Information Systems, Advanced Spreadsheets, Python Programming, Data Visualization, Data Base).

During their studies students will develop skills needed in the work of an analyst (eg Analytical Project, Soft Skills and Communication Training, Business Simulation).

Career

A graduate of Business Analytics may find employment in a variety of industries and business entities (eg enterprises, banks insurance companies, research centers, marketing agencies and consulting firms) in the following positions: Business Analyst, Database Analyst, Financial Analyst, Business Operations Analyst , Market Research Analyst.

We offer a number of elective courses, so that you can adapt your studies to your own individual interests. In this way, you can build up competences and get combinations that make you attractive and unique of the job market
