Overview
At Laboratory and X-Ray Technology Combined from Northern Alberta Institute of Technology graduates are able to perform general medical laboratory procedures, general diagnostic radiographic procedures, and electrocardiograms. Students also receive training on information systems and technology in the medical laboratory and diagnostic imaging departments.
Careers
Upon graduation, you're likely to find work in rural hospitals but may also find employment in healthcare centres and some clinics.
Successful Combined Lab and X-Ray program graduates are eligible to challenge the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists entry-to-practice certification examination to become a certified technologist.
