Key facts

University of Nottingham's Electrical and Electronic Engineering with Study Abroad course will give you the specialist knowledge and skills that will help you be part of a more sustainable future. Through lab-based projects, working individually and in small teams, you'll bring together your numerical, analytical and technical knowledge to problem solve different situations.

During your second year, you can study at either our China or Malaysia campus where you will have the opportunity to experience differing cultures. The curriculum is exactly the same as that of the UK and all teaching is in English. Your year will be spent studying core modules, and depending on the subject specialisms you have selected, appropriate optional modules.

All our electrical and electronic courses have the same content in year one and two so by year three, you can choose to specialise in the topics that interest you.

  • IB score 36-34 (6 in maths at Higher Level or 7 at Standard Level; plus preferably Physics at Higher or Standard Level) excluding Maths Studies. We accept the following IB Mathematics courses; Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches - 6 at Higher Level or 7 at Standard Level, and Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation – 6 at Higher Level only.
  • IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element)

  • A level offer AAA-AAB (Maths (grade A) is essential and physics is highly preferred; excluding General Studies, Critical Thinking, Citizenship Studies, CIE Global Perspectives and Research, CIE Thinking Skills.)
