The programme of study in Oriental Studies (Near Eastern Studies) (Hons) from University of Malta will provide you with an academic perspective on the oriental studies of near Eastern culture. 


During the Oriental Studies (Near Eastern Studies) (Hons) course from University of Malta we will broaden your Semitic literary and linguistic horizons through a wide historic spectrum, ranging from Judaism, Hebrew, Islam and Arabic cultures. 

By instilling a deeper understanding of the history, society and culture of the near Eastern world, you will become more knowledgeable and appreciative of their unique and respective history, along with their traditional literature and language. In your final year, you may have the opportunity to carry out a research-based dissertation of your choice. We also encourage you to participate in our Erasmus+ mobility programme for a more holistic and multicultural academic experience.
