Overview
A graduate of the Construction Management (Honours) program from University of Adelaide is equipped with skills in socially and environmentally sustainable construction technologies, project management, and skills in civil construction, Building Information Modelling (BIM) and engineering construction management.
Taught over four years full-time within a faculty ranked 50 in the world for computer science and engineering*, the degree leverages the University’s strong industry links and world-class research. Co-developed with industry, it features an emphasis on real-world experience, with an internship providing 456 hours of work-based training and industry internship opportunities embedded into the program during 3rd and 4th year.
Career
Utilising a broad skill set that blends construction management and technology, you might find yourself:
- overseeing and managing large-scale construction and infrastructure projects
- consulting with engineers, architects and technical trades workers
- coordinating labour, equipment and plant resources, as well as overseeing and managing contracts for work
- interpreting technical drawings and specifications for new infrastructure, as well as designing and managing sustainable building practices
Developed and delivered in collaboration with industry, our curriculum has a strong emphasis on real-world experience, integrating learning with hands-on experience—enabling you to gain employment in industry after your second year and continue studying while you work—allowing for rapid transition to industry after graduation.
