Overview

Affiliated with traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) universities in China, the Traditional Chinese Medicine (Honours) programme from Management and Science University combines biomedical sciences with traditional and complementary medicinal practices in an interdisciplinary approach to teaching traditional Chinese medicine. The holistic and innovative learning environment combines traditional lectures with structured practical/laboratory sessions, collaborative tutorials and small group discussions.

Assessments are conducted at multifaceted levels both in the theoretical aspects and the hands-on sessions. Constructive feedback from our lecturers will aid your learning. The clinical practice at the end of your studies ensures you graduate industry-ready for a career in traditional Chinese medicine. TCM practitioners/physicians are regulated by the Malaysian TCM Practitioners Board governed by the Malaysian Ministry of Health through the Traditional & Complementary Medicine Act.

You need at least 2.5 CGPA at STPM level in Science stream (for non-Science-stream STPM, 2.5 CGPA and a Credit in TWO (2) Science subjects at SPM level); OR a Full Pass in STPM Pengajian Am (General Studies) and TWO (2) other subjects, plus a Partial Pass in TWO (2) other subjects; OR TWO (2) Full Passes at A-level; OR an MSU Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine (also with at least 2.5 CGPA); OR an equivalent qualification in a related field and recognized by MSU Senate.
