Overview

This highly practical course gives you the opportunity to explore interior architecture and design through making and fabrication. By helping you speak the language of fabricators, designers, retailers and architects – through live projects with industry leaders and design assignments with real clients – we’ll encourage you to develop as a confident, knowledgeable interior architecture and design professional, ready to ignite employers’ interest with your own uniquely creative vision.
Our Canterbury campus offers you the space to create and experiment in dedicated studios, so you’ll learn through making. Drawn from professional design companies, our team of over 30 dedicated academic staff will connect you to a wealth of experience and industry contacts, boosted by our mentoring scheme which will offer you the chance to receive constructive feedback from other architecture and design experts.

Entry requirements

Along with your portfolio, the standard entry requirements* for this course are:

One of the following:

  • 112 new UCAS tariff points (equivalent to 280 old UCAS tariff points), see accepted qualifications
  • Pass at Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4)
  • Distinction, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma
  • Merit at UAL Extended Diploma
  • 112 new UCAS tariff points from an accredited Access to Higher Education Diploma in appropriate subject.

And four GCSE passes at grade C or above, including English (or Functional Skills English/Key Skills Communication Level 2).

Other relevant and equivalent Level 3 UK and international qualifications are considered on an individual basis, and we encourage students from diverse educational backgrounds to apply.
