
Overview
BSc Business Management with Entrepreneurship (Hons) programme from The University of Law Business School is aimed at students who have an interest in developing knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of entrepreneurship and innovation and aspire at launching their own venture.
The curriculum and learning and teaching strategy are complemented by guest lectures and ‘live’ workshops to promote independent learning and increasing their entrepreneuship skills for the future. Year 1 provides you with a good understanding of the foundations of business. Years 2 and 3 gives you a thorough grounding in the more specialist concepts and applications of strategic managementinnovation and entrepreneurship.
The programme provides the intellectual underpinnings required for launching a new venture in a rapidly changing business environment, a rigorous approach to self-awareness and personal development and a significant exposure to the world of work and its current demands through work experience opportunities. The degree is ideal for those interested in launching their own venture.
The programme offers students a thorough grounding in business and the more specialist concepts and applications of entrepreneurship, project management, and personal finance. Through the learning experiences offered, and the skills and competences gained, students will understand effective managerial behaviour developed in today’s complex organizations and turbulent international business environments.
Students will have an opportunity to qualify for the CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management and Leadership (5D1V2) or the Level 5 Certificate in Leadership and Management (5C1V2) dependent on successful completion of modules which are mapped to one of these CMI awards.
The emphasis in the course design has been to provide this strong business degree with a focus on employability.
The course offers an excellent grounding in knowledge of the key aspects of business management that are covered by a range of modules from the Management and Finance subject area. In turn, the degree seeks to inculcate in students many of the skills and competences in research, presentation, critical analysis, problem solving, team building and entrepreneurship, which all together should be helpful for future employment opportunities, be it setting their own organisation or working for a start-up.
The course is also supported by the ULBS incubator that provides support in 4 specific areas: Start-up, Social Enterprise, Digital Enterprise, and App Development
