Education

The BSc Business Management with Law with Placement Year (Hons) from The University of Law Business School is aimed at students who have an interest in developing knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of business and management, coupled with an understanding of the legal framework that corporations operate within.

The first year covers the foundation elements of business management.

Years 2 and 3 cover the legal area in more depth and develops your employability skills. The programme provides the intellectual underpinnings required for a career in a rapidly changing work environment, a rigorous approach to self-awareness and personal development and a significant exposure to the world of work and its current demands through work experience opportunities.

Through the learning experiences offered, and the skills and competences gained, students will understand effective managerial behaviour developed in today’s complex organizations and turbulent business environments. Some of the Law modules will be shared with LLB students

General requirements

Year 1 Entry:

BBC at A Level and Grade C/4 or above in GCSE Maths and English Language, or equivalent qualifications. Applicants who will be under the age of 18 but no younger than 17 at the commencement of the course are permitted.

Non-standard information

Non-standard entry route B:

Applicants who do not possess BBC at A Level or equivalent, will instead be invited to a formal interview along with providing three years of appropriate work experience evidenced in a full CV along with two work references. Applicants must still display the appropriate level of competence in both English Language and Mathematics.

International Entry: Year 1 Entry:

An English language level equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or above with a minimum of 5.5 in each component.
