The vision of the Industrial Ceramic programme at National Institute of Technology, Rourkela is to become nationally and internationally acclaimed center of higher learning and research in the field of ceramic and materials engineering that will serve as a source of knowledge and expertise for industry and academia and be a preferred destination for undergraduate and graduate studies as well as for research scholars.
Mission
- To produce highly qualified graduates possessing strong foundation in ceramic engineering worthy of serving industry, academia and research organization in India and abroad.
- To develop strong liaisons with industries and academia fostering multidisciplinary activities.
- To pursue fundamental and creative research in the science and engineering of novel ceramic materials and publish enduring scientific literatures.
