75% of our students are satisfied with their Communication studies, the third-highest level out of all Catalan universities (AQU 2017), 11 points higher than the Catalan university average.

3. Course description

Abat Oliba - CEU University (UAO CEU) and the International School of Protocol (EIP) introduce the first edition of the degree with a specialisation in Communication Management and Event Management. This fully consolidates UAO CEU and EIP as specialist universities in using protocol as a communication tool. The Universities don't limit their activity to teaching, but expand it to include research, the sharing of ideas and professional guidance for its students, with a clear focus on business and business management. 

The modules of the Degree in Advertising and PR and specialisation course in Communication Management and Event Management will take place during the four academic years of the course. The 18 credits that take place in the International School of Protocol (EIP) can be completed either during the second semester of the fourth year, in segments throughout the degree or once the degree has been completed.

4. Learn by doing

A new teaching method inspired by the learning by doing and flipped classroom models, where the student is the centre of the teaching model and the classroom becomes a generator of professional experiences.

GoliAds UAO CEU Awards: Advertising and PR students organise this contest, gala and awards ceremony every year, and it has become a reference point for advertising agencies. UAO CEU is the headquarters of the 18-19 and 19-20 editions of the Festival Drac Novell International, the major event on the advertising and communication calendar. The University organises the event in collaboration with the Managerial Association of Advertising.

5. International School of Protocol 

Through this degree, the International Protocol School aims to promote studies in the fields of communication, protocol, institutional relations and skills for event management from an innovative perspective that complies with the demands of the current job market.

Following the principles established by the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), UAO CEU and EIP strive for personalised education that focuses on the student. It goes beyond merely transmitting knowledge and encourages reflection, creative attitudes and the ability to learn how to learn.

To achieve this, students have personal academic and professional tutoring from faculty who guide them towards choosing their specialisation itinerary in the course structure as well as in the transition to the workplace.

6. International programmes

International experience Coventry University is a knowledge and cultural exchange featuring international group work (Online International Learning), trips (short global experience study / field trip), Erasmus+ programmes and the possibility of dual qualifications.

The CEU-University of Chicago (Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies) programme is an initiative for Journalism and Political Science (International Relations) students: trips, case study method and more.
