You will study your degree at our Salford campus close to Manchester city centre.

In your first year in the Business Management with Innovation and Technology with Placement Year programme of the University of Salford, you will start to develop an understanding of how organisations work, looking at key business concepts and the core skills you need for modern businesses. You will also look at wider business areas and how technology integrates with them. You will be learning by doing through working on exciting and innovative marketing challenges or real-world projects.
You will:
- Study the application of emerging business technologies and examine key business functions
- Apply digital tools to present digital innovation ideas
- Build your digital portfolio for employability
- Understand data and business intelligence and how it impacts on digital business
- Develop your skills working with fellow students on live client projects
- Gain real, hands-on experience on a work placement and live projects to develop the skills employers value

Studying Business Management with Innovation and Technology equips you with an extremely desirable set of skills. Not only will your practical and academic knowledge be enhanced, over the duration of the programme your team working, project management, presentation and interpersonal skills will all be developed.
With opportunities to take part in a year-long paid work placement, a dedicated Professional Development module and support from the University’s careers team and our Launch entrepreneurship experts, we ensure you are equipped with the skills and experience employers are looking for.
