They learn scientific research skills and work with data and technology in the field and in the laboratory. EOC students participate in hands-on capstone research or field experience, typically in the latter part of their program. Graduates pursue careers in environmental geology and scientific research in fields such as oceanography, climate science, surficial processes, paleoclimate, paleoecology and more.
