Education

The Early Childhood Education program at The University of Arizona lets students keep building their skills at one of the top-ranked research universities in the nation.

This program is not intended to provide teacher certification. Students wishing to pursue teacher certification should explore the Elementary Education program with an Early Childhood Endorsement.

Programme Structure

The Bachelor of Applied Science with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education provides a continuation of the Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent) offered at accredited community colleges.

  • Have a 3.00 recalculated grade point average (GPA) (a "B" or better where "A"=4.00) from a secondary school. 
  • Have three years of high school work. Please note: If you are currently in high school, UA needs to see 9–11 grade work. If you have completed high school then UA needs to see 10–12 grade work. 
  • Have and present a completed high school diploma or certificate.
