Overview
Key Features
Whatever your current interests, you will discover new disciplines and topics that will push you outside your comfort zone and challenge your perceptions. The Virtual Pre-University Summer Programme from University of Cambridge also offers sessions on study and research skills, how to apply to a UK University, and careers.
The programme is unashamedly interdisciplinary: students are expected to listen to all talks and to participate in discussion even when the topic is not in an area with which they are currently familiar. The aim is to expose you to a wide range of subject areas at a point in your academic career when you may still be making decisions on what to study and where.
The programme also offers pre-recorded sessions delivered by University staff on study and research skills, how to apply to a UK University, and careers. You have the opportunity to exchange ideas with fellow participants and discuss topics in more depth via group forums. You will also have access to a range of programme materials, and live Zoom sessions with current University of Cambridge students and with the Programme Director, Dr James Grime.
