Overview
Correctional Education Program offered by Texas A-M University Central Texas provides post-secondary education opportunities to offenders in Texas Department of Criminal Justice facilities in Gatesville, Texas. Offenders have an opportunity to pursue two bachelor's degrees:
- Bachelor of Business Administration – Management (BBA – Management): provides general exposure to major business disciplines, such as accounting, economics, finance, and marketing.
- Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences-Business (BAAS – Business): provides the opportunity for students, who have earned technical, vocational, or military education and training, to complete a baccalaureate degree in business.
Students at Correctional Education Program offered by Texas A-M University Central Texas will:
- benefit from a junior and senior‐level coursework needed to complete a baccalaureate degree successfully;
- benefit from an automatic continuous registration plan. Once a student has been admitted, they will be assigned to a cohort.
