Overview
At the end of Year 1, if you obtain an average mark of (a) 65% or better in the Knowledge and Information Management area of study, and (b) 60% or better in all the study units of Year 1, then you will be eligible to proceed to the Honours programme. As a manager in knowledge and information, you will be responsible for the organisation, acquisition, documentation and handling of the body of information that a community or company shares. In your final year, you may have the opportunity to write a research-based dissertation to demonstrate your knowledge.

As a graduate, you will be well-positioned to provide informed analysis, evaluation, and insight for various organisations aiming to leverage and maximise their knowledge and information assets and possibilities. You will be prepared for professional careers as knowledge and information managers, records managers, information policy consultants and researchers, knowledge consultants, information specialists, archivists, curators, and librarians.
As a graduate of this Knowledge and Information Management and Linguistics programme at University of Malta you will be employable, both locally and foreign, as a linguist, lexicographer, technical writer, forensic linguist, accent coach, translator, copywriter, interpreter, editor, language therapist and as a computational linguist.
