The aim of the study in Telecommunication Technology at Technical University of Ostrava is to educate graduates with solid theoretical knowledge in their field, with broad practical skills and abilities, with creative inventiveness and extensive possibilities to apply in practice to prepare university-educated workers, especially with practical knowledge of communication networks, multimedia, transmission devices, computer security, signal processing, electronics and optoelectronics. Graduates may continue in the follow-up master's degree program of the same name.

Graduate's skills

The graduate in Telecommunication Technology will acquire a general view of a modern technical branch, manage to solve practical tasks in the sphere of terminal equipment, network technology, and handle practical issues in the conception of mobile and optical communication networks. 

The graduate can work with the information in the branch and organize it. He/she masters the research methods in dealing with issues related to voice and image analysis, simulation of fibre optical networks and security of telecommunication systems.
