
Overview
The main goals of the Architecture at Ajman University curriculum are to produce graduates who are:
- To equip students with design abilities from theoretical knowledge and practical skills to meet the requirements of architectural profession.
- To equip students with technical skills and their applications to solving design problems.
To equip students with ethical and professional knowledge to meet local needs and adequately compete within the local and international professional environments.
Career Opportunities
Because of the multidisciplinary nature of the curriculum, graduates are qualified for employment in a variety of areas. They can work, for example, as designers and construction managers, or join city planning or community agencies and governmental authorities. Alternatively they can become building contractors. As graduates are trained in problem-solving they are able to adapt to a range of jobs in both the public and private sector.
Accreditation
The Architecture Program at Ajman University (AU) has earned Validation status from UNESCO-UIA, the International Union of Architects. Recognition of architecture programs by the UNESCO-UIA Validation System represents an internationally benchmarked assessment of quality in architectural education.
