Overview

The Orchestra Academy of the Helsinki Music Centre and the close-knit cooperation between professional orchestras allow you to collect hands-on work experience. You will get to network with current and future top musicians already as a student. 

Opportunities

Graduates from the Woodwind instruments (Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bassoon, or Saxophone) programme at the University of the Arts Helsinki know the essential repertoire, styles, techniques, and interpretations of their respective instrument as well as the key orchestra repertoire of Western art music. 

They work as soloists or a versatile chamber and orchestra musicians and have acquired at least the basic pedagogical competence.
