Through courses and a learning environment that inspire you to acquire knowledge about the environmental, social, cultural, and economic effects of tourism, you will gain insight into activities and organisations in the tourism industry. Topical focus on hospitality management, events management, destination management, and entrepreneurship in tourism are combined with business courses in e-commerce and marketing.
The International Tourism Management programme from Linnaeus University offers two different specialisations and you choose which specialisation you prefer during the course of the programme. You can choose either to specialise further in tourism studies or to specialise in cruise management.
Cruise management provides fundamental and in-depth courses in tourism studies, certified courses for working on a ship, and a degree in business administration. Cruise management prepares you for work in leading positions at shipping companies and in cruise tourism.
The programme is one of Sweden’s most coveted tourism educations and after obtaining your degree the entire world is your labour market.
Earlier students on the programme today work as, for instance, CEOs for travel agencies, hotels and tour operators, information and development managers at hotels, hosts for large events, site managers for travel agencies, senior press officers at agencies abroad, destination managers, destination developers and travel consultants.
