Overview

Students will develop a comprehensive understanding of cutting edge criminological and sociological theorising and will be able to apply this to current socio-economic policies and conditions. 

The programme

In order to achieve this, scutting edge criminological and socioltudents will develop a critical understanding of criminology and sociology in relation to current issues such as urbanisation, embodiment, family, globalisation, marginalisation and migration. 

Criminology and Sociology will be considered from a fresh perspective using feminist, critical, cultural, and race critiques to revisit societal issues. 

The BA (Hons) Criminology and Sociology from The University of Law is aimed at students who may not be served by the current sociology/criminology degree courses in research-led universities.
