6-year MD program is designed for high school/secondary school graduates. It is a full time study program based on requirements which are obligatory for the Polish medical higher education institutions and is adequate to EU standards.

The main goal of the 6-year MD program is to educate well-qualified medical practitioners able to enter the profession of a Doctor of Medicine (lat. Doctor Medicinae – pol. Lekarz) with excellent clinical skills, able to conduct scientific research, provide professional medical health care based on human approach, and teach medical students.

Medical University of Lodz is the largest state-owned medical university in Poland. It has 60 years of academic tradition, including over 10 years of experience in conducting medical and dental studies in English for international students.

    The TOEFL®PBT is administered in a paper format and measures your ability to use and understand English in a classroom setting at the college or university level. It accurately measures how well you can listen, read and write in English while performing academic tasks.

General Requirements

  • High school diploma or a secondary school leaving certificate qualifying for admission to a university or medical school in a home country.

  • Extended level of knowledge in 2 of the following subjects: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics – documented by the above mentioned school leaving certificates/diplomas. The grades required should be above average. The above knowledge is to be verified during the Skype entrance exam.

  • English competency written and spoken confirmed by the respective certificates as: CAE, CPE, TOEFL PBT (min. 500 points), IELTS (min. 6.0 points) if the secondary education was not conducted in English.
