Overview
The General Practice Nursing (Hons) programme from Swansea University is a flexible programme that will enable you to manage your continuing professional development around your work and personal life.
Throughout your learning experience you will develop confidence, critical thinking and new skills that will prepare you for a career as a general practice nurse.
You will be capable of monitoring and improving standards of service through reflection, supervision, mentorship, professional leadership and multidisciplinary teamwork.
Your General Practice Nursing Experience
Our excellent facilities in the College of Human and Health Sciences include a realistic clinical suite so you can put your theoretical knowledge into practice.
Throughout the course you will develop strong partnerships with other professional groups across the health and social care interface, including the voluntary and third sectors.

To apply for this course you will need:
- A registered practitioner on the respective part (1,2,7,8,12 or 15) of the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) register
- Normally have one year’s experience post qualification as a registered practitioner
- Possess 120 credits at level 5 (diploma level)
