Overview

The unique aspect of this Classics and the Ancient Near East degree offered by the University of Konstanz lies in its transcendence of traditional academic boundaries by linking historical findings (literary texts, physical legacies) and how they were perceived in the course of the centuries. Including the "Ancient Near East" extends the concept of "Classical Antiquity".

This broad approach makes it possible to not only learn about the continued influence of Classical Antiquity on the "Renaissances" that occurred between the Middle Ages and the present day, but also the reception processes during Classical Antiquity.
