The aim of the degree course in 'Maritime Science and Technology' at University of Genova is to provide graduates with both the scientific basis of the disciplines in question, and the ability to use the techniques, systems, and instruments on board.

Graduates will gain knowledge of the national and international ship owning context through internship activities and partnerships to be carried out over the training program. 

Career perspectives

The courses will be held at the University of Genova with the training activities on board carried out at the major national and international shipowning companies chosen through the University. Graduates will be qualified for deck or machine officer duties after passing a final practical theoretical exam and then obtaining further IMO certifications as per art. 5 of the DM MIT.
