The Studio Art, Photography - Media program of the Moravian College is designed to prepare students for careers in photography or media arts. It may also serve as a foundation for graduate study in the fine arts.


Program Paths

Photography/media is available as an option in the studio major. Students take beginning, intermediate, and upper-level courses in photography and media arts.

There are two degree options in the Studio Art, Photography - Media program of the Moravian College:

  • BA: provides the opportunity for additional study in other disciplines, including minors or double majors.
  • BFA: provides a more intense studio art experience with more required art courses.

  • Moravian College online application or the Common Application
  • Official secondary (High School) school academic records (original and certified translations)

  • If English is not your native language, you must submit TOEFL or IELTS scores, and this is required of all freshmen applicants
  • Certification of Finances form that confirms that you and your sponsor understand the total cost of education, and there are adequate funds cover your educational expenses under normal conditions through the full program. A letter from a bank official or bank statements must accompany all figures indicated on the form for verification. However, all documents must be dated within 6 months of application
  • Proof of Financial Support. The student must prove that they have at least the equivalent of $63,523.00 (USD).
  • A letter of recommendation from a guidance counselor
  • A personal statement or essay
