Overview

The Aeronautical Technology - Airport Management program from Kansas State University is the only Airport Management degree track offered on an active airfield – encompassing a 12,300-foot runway 

Courses taught by industry subject experts

  • Hands-on field lab experience working alongside industry professionals in the day-to-day management of an active airfield
  • Hands-on field lab experience working alongside industry professionals in the day-to-day management of an active airfield
  • Only collegiate Airport management program utilizing KDOT Aeronautics Airport Portal for lab experience
  • Students résumés will be strengthened by the opportunity to prepare for the American Association of Airport Executives exam to become a Certified Manager

This option of study prepares students for rewarding careers in airport management. The study of aircraft flight will provide foundational knowledge for further study in this career field. 

Coursework will continue with study of airport environmental regulations, airport law and aviation/airport funding structures. Students will graduate with the Certified Manager designation from the American Association of Airport Executives.
