A graduate of the first degree Applied Informatics course at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, except of broad knowledge in mathematics, physics, economics and management, gains theoretical and methodological knowledge from the core of Informatics, knowledge and practical skills of computers architecture, operating systems, logic systems, algorithms and programming respectively.

Further, knowledge from measurement, data capture, processing and transmission of information and diagnostic of systems is included to the program. He will also have knowledge about information and communication networks, will understand methods of modeling and simulation of systems and processes. Selecting from a wide range of optional courses from the whole area of information technology, along with applications to the relevant field a student has a posibility to focus on a design and to make use methods and means of informatics to solve problems in various fields of application.

Key Learning Outcomes: 

Graduates from the Applied Informatics course at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava will gain a deep practical knowledge in one of study fields - namely Computer and network security, IT in Control and Decision Making, Modeling and Simulation of Event Systems, IT in Electrinics or Power Engineering.Occupational Profiles of Graduates with Examples: Working effectively as a member of development team, as a manager, analytic, system designer. Ares of application: information systems in companies, organizations, in a private and public sector.
