Overview
This Pathway Programme from BI Norwegian Business School emphasis is building a solid academic foundation for success in higher education, becoming familiar with Scandinavian life and culture, and improving English competency and proficiency.
The programme also introduces students to Scandinavian society and culture while supporting a solid academic foundation in higher education. Classes for the Pathway Programme will be held at Jönköping University in Sweden, at the campus in Gränna, the campus in Jönköping, or online.
The Pathway Programme is right for you if:
- You have a high school diploma from a country that doesn’t qualify for direct admission to a bachelor's degree programme in Norway. These include countries such as China, India, Russia, Brazil, and the US. (To check if your secondary education is recognised for direct admission to a bachelor's degree programme in Norway, please visit the Norwegian Agency for Quality Assurance) AND/OR
- Your equivalent language test score is below the level that BI requires (IELTS 6.0/TOEFL 80 or equivalent). You must have a minimum IELTS 5.0 or equivalent to be eligible for the Pathway Programme.

Pathway Year - English Track:
- TOEFL (We do not accept TOEFL ITP or TOEFL iBT MyBest score)
- Internet based: Score of 14 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 61
- It is necessary to notify the Admissions Office when you have placed your order with ETS. Use the institution code 8487 to order the test.
- The TOEFL test result cannot be older than 2 years.
- IELTS Academic (We do not accept IELTS General Training)
- An overall score of 5.0 and no section below 4.5
- The IELTS test result cannot be older than 10 years
- Cambridge English Language Assessment
Pathway Year - General Studies:
- TOEFL (We do not accept TOEFL ITP or TOEFL iBT MyBest score)
- Internet based: Score of 17 (scale 0-30) in written test, total score of 72
- It is necessary to notify the Admissions Office when you have placed your order with ETS. Use the institution code 8487 to order the test.
