e-Business Management and Information Systems (Honours)

Overview

The team members are from Hong Kong SAR, South Korea, the United States, and Canada, and all have doctorates from prestigious overseas universities. This programme mainly cultivates compound talents who understand both business management and information technology. 

We train students to be proficient in the use of information technology and business analysis skills in a big data environment. Students are required to conduct scientific analysis and research on all kinds of massive information, based on data mining, decision analysis, and business analytics, combined with cross-field analysis professional courses.

This e-Business Management and Information Systems (Hons) programme from Beijing Normal University - Hong Kong Baptist University United International College emphasizes the enhancement of students’ creativity and problem-solving abilities and uses the results of big data analytics to mine effective information to help the e-commerce industry collect data points, create market opportunities, accurately describe and even predict consumer behavior, and assist companies in scientific decision-making.

Curriculum Design

Students of the EBIS programme will learn the design, development, operation and promotion of e-commerce platforms, enterprise information systems, database management, mobile computing, social media, platform-based big data analytics, information security and privacy protection, and maintenance of corporate network and data security. 

This programme not only delivers professional knowledge systematically, but also emphasizes actual business practice. Through a large number of corporate case discussions and commercial project practice, students of this programme are equipped with profound system development and management capabilities, comprehensive business management capabilities, strategic markets insight, and entrepreneurial ability.
