Overview

History and human geography have never been more closely linked. Geographers have started to consider the long-term trends that have shaped the world around us and, at the same time, environmental and urban history have recently emerged as vibrant areas.

You’ll study alongside students from our BA (Hons) History and BA (Hons) Human Geography courses, giving you the opportunity to meet new people and share ideas.

Field trips

Field trips are used either in the sense of external visits where you can gain an understanding of how, for example, regeneration projects work on the ground, or as locations for conducting fieldwork to develop competence in practical research skills, etc.
