Program offerings are organized into four traditional specialties: Industrial and Management Engineering Systems, Manufacturing Systems, Information and Systems Engineering, and Human Engineering Systems.
The programs are intended to offer the students flexibility in building a program to fit their professional goals and needs. The Masters (ME) Program Requirements is a multidisciplinary engineering program of courses with the opportunity to specialize in one or more areas.
The Doctoral (DEng) Program Requirements offers the opportunity to mix courses to provide both breadth and depth. A wide range of offerings in major and minor specialties can be selected from within and among MSU's departments. Some undergraduate courses may also be included in a student's program plan.
The vision of the Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) Department at Morgan State University is to achieve state and national leadership in Industrial Engineering Education and Research. With a unique program of national and international prominence, our focus is on multidisciplinary and diverse learning experiences in integrated Industrial Systems of Production, Services, Manufacturing, and Information.
Such experiences will provide students, especially those from the urban environment, with the technical, managerial, human engineering, and communication skills to address and solve national and global engineering problems.
