How is the Post Compulsory Education course delivered?
The Certificate in Education Post Compulsory Education is a two-year course that is undertaken by teachers who are already working in the lifelong learning sector.
Students normally attend taught sessions once a week at one of a number of partner colleges across the West Midlands and further afield. The partnership involves strong links between the partner colleges and the University. By undertaking this course, you will be joining a community of practice underpinned by a strong culture of teaching and learning and critical enquiry.
The course is designed to meet the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) professional standards and has at its heart a model of Critical Reflective Practice that facilitates an ongoing professional dialogue between student, mentor and tutor.
