Biological Sciences Department Student Learning Goals

Demonstrate Knowledge of Major Biological Principles & Concepts:

  • Recall and apply core principles and concepts of suborganismal, organismal & interorganismal biological sciences
  • Recall and apply core principles and concepts of a subset of biological studies, according to the student’s chosen emphasis

The living costs include the total expenses per month, covering accommodation, public transportation, utilities (electricity, internet), books and groceries.


Nonresident students are automatically eligible for scholarships of $2,000 to $5,000 per year, based on ACT/SAT scores, high school course rigor, class rank and grade point average, and the college application statement. Students will be notified at point of admission regarding these merit-based awards.
