Overview
Objectives
The Communication Science and Culture program from Lusophone University of Humanities and Technologies promotes an elementary education and interdisciplinary basis in broadband that integrates theoretical and applied knowledge in the areas of Communication Sciences and Culture, and in specialized fields of Applied Communication, Journalism and Cultural Management, through three alternative routes but interconnected training.
Knowledge, abilities and skills to be acquired
Proposing to acquire skills and learning scientific and technological practices, and achieving a kind of training that is consistent with the current requirements for flexibility and employability, the emphasis was to give the student an informed choice of variant to follow and a wider range professional options, and the initial three semesters consisting of one common trunk. Thus, the first course of specialization in Communication and Journalism arises only in the 4th semester (ie in the 2nd semester of 2nd year) and the first course of specialization in Applied Communication also appears in April. semester, and common students who wish to engage in Applied Communications: Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations or Cultural Management.
The first two years are training in the areas of Communication Sciences and Culture, being organized for the third year of specialty courses in Communication and Journalism, Applied Communications: Marketing, Advertising and Public Relations and Cultural Management.
Further Studies
Students may continue for 2nd cycle studies: Master in Communication Networks and Technologies, and further to 3rd cycle studies: PhD in Communication For Development or PhD in Arts of the Media
