Professional development

Through this programme, you can take industrial examinations such as Cisco, Microsoft, Oracle, Java and Enterprise Architecture certifications. All students are automatically enrolled as student members of the British Computer Society, which is the chartered body responsible for establishing and maintaining technical and ethical standards in the profession.

Accreditation

This degree is accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS). The programme can lead to full exemption from the BCS Certificate, Diploma, Professional Graduate Diploma and PGD Project, as well as partial chartered engineer (CEng) status. The programme also has accreditation from the European Quality Assurance Network for Informatics Education (EQANIE).

                Academic Requirements

                Applicants from a UK educational background:

                128 UCAS points from A-levels, plus GCSEs at grade C or above in English language and mathematics. 

                Applications from students taking Access to Higher Education courses are welcome.

                Applicants from a non-UK educational background:

                Applicants must have successfully completed 11 or 12 years of full time education, and demonstrated competence in mathematics (usually equivalent to GCSE grade C).
