Overview

This online LLB (Hons) Law with Psychology allows you to explore how the legal system interacts with the way people think and behave. The syllabus is focused on the laws of England and Wales, but it also covers relevant global issues. You will study key areas of law such as Criminal Law, Contract Law and Law of Tort, and delve into fascinating psychological topics such social psychology and milestones in human development. Whatever your career aspirations, the specialist knowledge and skills you gain through this degree will prepare for careers in both the legal industry and psychology, as well as related sectors.

LLB (Hons) Law with Psychology teaching style

LLB (Hons) Law with Psychology assessment methods

All assessments are delivered through our virtual learning environment (VLE). There is no requirement to go to external test centres; instead, you will submit written assignments through the VLE. For the few courses where exams are required, we use a virtual system that allows you to take academically rigorous exams from the comfort of your own home.

Your future

This online LLB (Hons) Law is a qualifying law degree (QLD) which enables you to complete the academic stage of legal education. If you would like to qualify as a lawyer, you must complete your degree studies in no more than six years and achieve a minimum of a Lower Second Class Honours degree.

At University of Essex Online, we believe that everyone should be able to access education. That is why we offer two different entry routes onto our LLB (Hons) Law with Psychology, which consider academic or work-based experience.

Academic entry route

In order to satisfy the academic entry route requirement, you must have the following qualifications as a minimum:

  • three A-levels or equivalent

Work experience entry route

In order to satisfy the work experience entry route requirements, you must meet the following criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above, or equivalent
  • three years’ relevant work experience

English language requirement

Our courses are taught in English so to study with us you must have an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.0 or equivalent. If you don’t hold an IELTS or equivalent qualification, you will be required to pass a free online English test to assess your proficiency.
