Overview
If you have a higher English language level, you may qualify for our iCAS – integrated Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) – program. Combining your pathway and degree in a single study plan, for the International Year One in Engineering at INTO Queen's University Belfast you’ll only need one visa for the duration of your studies and can apply with alternative English language qualifications to IELTS.

General requirements
- Two 'D' grades from a UK A-level board, a recognised foundation, first year of an overseas university degree programme or equivalent with good grades. Students will be expected to have studied Mathematics and preferably Physics at this level. Students wishing to study Chemical Engineering must have GSCE Chemistry grade 4/C or equivalent.
- 16 years and above
- 3 terms: IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5.5 in reading and writing and no less than 5.0 in all other subskills) or equivalent.
- 4 Terms: IELTS 5.0 (with a minimum of 5.0 in reading and writing and no less than 4.5 in all other subskills) or equivalent.
5 Terms: IELTS 4.5 (with a minimum of 4.5 in all subskills) or equivalent.
