Overview
The early years are critical to the future happiness and wellbeing of any individual. This Early Childhood Care, Health and Education (Hons) course at the Atlantic Technological University will empower you to play a key role in this regard. Young children use all their senses to discover the world, and adults involved in that education must to the same.
Working with young children requires patience, energy, commitment and dedication. Most of all, it demands creativity and a sense of fun. After all, young children live in the present, in the here and now, and our role as an early year’s educator is to cultivate appropriate care and development environments for children to grow in body and mind.
Careers
It’s a fantastic career with opportunities to work in a diverse range of fields, whether specifically in childcare, education or healthcare. Typically graduates work in private and public childcare facilities, in special needs, as specialist advisors and as primary school teachers.
