Overview

Religion - Youth and Recreation Ministry school is in the process of developing international opportunities to study during the summers in theological settings and institutions on five different continents. These satellites will offer degree credit hours, a cross-cultural experience, and hands-on social and mission opportunities.

Learning outcomes

Faculty will enable the student to develop a theological and philosophical literacy; improve critical reading, writing, and thinking skills; establish a biblical foundation and competency to address life questions and issues in the 21st century; nurture a robust spirituality; create a sense of mission, social consciousness, and global citizenship; and prepare for commitment and leadership in the local church.

Along with the in-depth teaching, Carson-Newman University Religion majors benefit from professors who often become mentors, welcoming their students with an open-door policy. Our faculty is committed to sharing their life experiences and living out the imitatio Christi. Every one of our faculty is involved in ministry and the local church on Wednesdays and Sundays.
