Overview
To be eligible for Texas certification, students will follow the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC) Core Subjects EC-6 standards. Students in the Core Subjects Early Childhood through Grade 6 with Teacher Certification major at Dallas Baptist University follow a course of study which includes the following components: (1) General Studies, (2) Professional Responsibility, and (3) an Interdisciplinary Academic Major which includes 42 upper-level credit hours.
Students must be admitted into the Educator Preparation Program according to the policies set by the College of Education.
