Overview

Our Early Childhood Education emphasis at Carson-Newman University is a teacher licensure program preparing students to work in a school setting with children from Pre-K through 3rd grade. Students may be interested in teaching or administration of such programs.

Learning outcomes

Both our CFS and ECE programs offer hands-on experience catered towards our students’ individual needs. These experiences include numerous practicum courses allowing students to work with their populations of interest. Additionally, students have opportunities to work with our Child Development Laboratory observing classroom activities, collaborating with peers, and teaching young children. With our small class size, professors will know you and walk alongside you in your college journey in a caring, Christian community. Through faith and learning, we’re providing a life-changing education where students come first.
