Overview

As a chiropractic practitioner providing patient-centered care, you'll focus on the treatment and prevention of disorders of the musculoskeletal and nervous systems as well as a patient's overall wellness using broad diagnostic skills and training in spinal manipulation, therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, nutrition, diet, and lifestyle counseling.

Students in the Biology and Chiropractic program at the D’Youville College can enter our accelerated 7-Year BS+DC program right out of high school. We also offer a 3.5-Year professional chiropractic doctoral program for candidates with bachelor's degrees.

What You'll Learn 

You'll graduate with:

  • Substantial knowledge of the basic biological sciences;
  • In-depth understanding of the principles, theories, methodologies and skills distinctive to the practice of chiropractic;
  • The knowledge, understanding and ability to perform a comprehensive history and examination, diagnosis and treatment of a patient, utilizing the principles of patient-centered care; 
  • Ability to assess a patient's general health status; to recognize deviations from normalcy; and to refer or co-manage the healthcare of patients requiring other types of healthcare and supportive services;
