Overview

The Earth Sciences programme offered at University of Basel offer a particularly close link between the traditional geographical and the geological / geological subjects.

This enables students to develop a holistic understanding of geosciences in teaching and research in a special way. Under the future scenarios of global change, interdisciplinary understanding in the geosciences will become more and more important.

Against this background, the study of geosciences at the University of Basel is designed so that the most flexible possible design within the geoscientific range of topics is possible. At the same time, depending on the choice, suitability and interest of the students, it is possible to specialize in individual subjects, both in teaching and in research.
