As an Environmental Chemistry major at Queens University of Charlotte, you'll work with substances and chemical processes to address contamination and pollution as you restore weakening ecosystems, and you'll engage in real research projects that affect our community.
Critical thinking, quantitative reasoning and analytical skills are all necessary to identify, monitor and resolve environmental issues. You will study all five areas of chemistry (organic, inorganic, analytical, physical and biochemistry), with advanced studies in environmental science and chemistry. Beyond the classroom, you’ll participate in lab and field experiences and complete course-embedded research projects.
Our major consists of a curriculum recommended by the American Chemist Society (ACS).
